Weather Update: Heavy Rains expected across Multiple States

The weather in Uttar Pradesh is set to change again. After a period of humidity and fading rain in eastern UP, heavy rainfall is expected from July 22 to 24.

This will last for three days.

Other states, including Delhi and Punjab, have also received rain alerts.

According to the Meteorological Department, heavy rain is forecasted for Odisha, Vidarbha, Southern Chhattisgarh, Northern Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Southern Odisha today.

Gujarat will experience very heavy rain for the next five days, while the Ghat areas of Konkan, Goa, and Central Maharashtra will see heavy rain today.

The rain is expected to lessen afterward.

Recent and Upcoming Rainfall

Yesterday, heavy rain occurred in several regions including Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Konkan, Goa, Saurashtra, Kutch, Odisha, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Gujarat,

Uttarakhand, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Eastern Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Rayalaseema, Telangana, and Central Maharashtra.

The Meteorological Department has issued alerts for very heavy rains in Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Vidarbha, and Southern Chhattisgarh on July 20.

Gujarat is expected to experience very heavy rain from July 20-24.

Heavy rain alerts are also in place for Madhya Pradesh from July 21-24, Vidarbha on July 21 and 22, Chhattisgarh on July 21, Coastal Karnataka on July 20 and 21,

and Southern Interior Karnataka, South Odisha, Marathwada, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Telangana on July 20.

Additionally, heavy rains are anticipated in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from July 20-22,

Gangetic West Bengal and Jharkhand on July 22 and 23, and Bihar on July 23 and 24.

North India Weather Forecast

In North India, light to moderate rain is expected over the next five days in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Eastern Rajasthan, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Punjab, and Western Rajasthan.

Thunderstorm and lightning warnings have also been issued for many areas.

Uttarakhand is under a very heavy rain alert for July 21 and 22, and Eastern Rajasthan for July 23 and 24.

Himachal Pradesh is expected to see very heavy rain on July 22 and 23, and Western Uttar Pradesh on July 22.

Heavy rain warnings are in effect for Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana from July 21-24, Western Rajasthan, Eastern Uttar Pradesh from July 22-24,

Punjab on July 22 and 23, and for Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Eastern Rajasthan.
