Monsoon withdrawal is expected in South-Western states, potentially bringing back rain to Southern regions.
Southern States Alert
IMD’s weather bulletin warns of heavy rain expected in Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe from September 30 to October 1.
Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana are also forecasted to experience heavy rainfall within the next 24 hours.
Clear Skies in Delhi
The national capital, Delhi, is set to enjoy clear skies for the next 2-3 days, with no rain expected in Delhi-NCR during this period. However, the skies may remain cloudy.
Returning Monsoon Impact
In the South-Western states, the returning monsoon will bring heavy rain to Maharashtra, accompanied by thunder
and lightning for the next 2-3 days. Isolated heavy rainfall is predicted in Konkan-Goa and Madhya Maharashtra on September 30.
Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh are also on alert for heavy rain over the next two days, with Chhattisgarh facing the possibility of heavy rain from September 30 to October 2.
Continuous Rain in North-East
In the North-Eastern states, continuous rainfall is expected to persist.
The Meteorological Department predicts heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Andhra Pradesh from September 30 to October 3.
