Vodafone Idea Increases Mobile Tariff Prices by Up to 21%

Following in the footsteps of Reliance Jio and Bharti Airtel, Vodafone Idea has announced a significant increase in mobile recharge plan prices.

The new tariffs, effective from July 4, 2024, reflect a 10% to 21% hike across various prepaid and post-paid plans.

Details of the New Tariff Plans

Vodafone Idea has revised its pricing structure as follows:

28-Day Plans:

Minimum recharge plan increased from Rs 179 to Rs 199.

Plan with 1 GB data per day increased from Rs 269 to Rs 299.

84-Day Plans:

1.5 GB per day plan increased from Rs 719 to Rs 859.

2 GB per day plan increased from Rs 839 to Rs 979.

365-Day Annual Plan:

Price increased from Rs 2,899 to Rs 3,499.

Data Add-On Packs:

1 GB data pack increased from Rs 19 to Rs 22.

6 GB data pack increased from Rs 39 to Rs 48.

Reason for the Price Increase

Vodafone Idea stated that the price increase is intended to support substantial investments in improving the 4G network experience and launching 5G services in the coming quarters.

The company emphasized that the price hike for entry-level plans is nominal, considering the needs of entry-level users.

Unique Offerings

Vodafone Idea highlighted that it is the only company offering night free data and weekend data rollover features to its prepaid customers through the ‘Hero Unlimited’ plan.

This follows similar price hikes by Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, who have also adjusted their prepaid and post-paid plan prices recently.
