Starting in August 2024, several new rules related to money will take effect, impacting everyday expenses for many people.

Changes in HDFC Bank Credit Card Rules
1% Transaction Charge on Rent Payments
If you pay rent using your credit card through services like CRED, Cheq, MobiKwik, or Freecharge, a 1% transaction fee will apply, capped at ₹3000.
Fuel Transaction Charges
For fuel purchases over ₹15,000, a 1% service charge will be applied to the total amount, with a maximum limit of ₹3000.
EMI Processing Fee
There will be a charge of ₹299 for processing EMI transactions.
Changes in Gas Prices and Google Maps Services
Gas Cylinder Prices
Gas cylinder prices are set at the start of each month. Last month, commercial gas prices dropped, and a similar reduction is expected this time.
Google Maps Services
Effective August 1, 2024, Google Maps services in India will become 70% cheaper. The charges will now be in Indian Rupees instead of Dollars.
Bank Holidays in August
In August, banks will be closed for 14 days, including holidays such as Rakshabandhan, Janmashtami, and Independence Day.
