UP Govt Plans Massive Job Boost with Industrial Hubs along Expressways

Many new jobs are expected to be created by building industries near five big roads in Uttar Pradesh, which is the most crowded state in the country.

The Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEDA) has found places to make industrial centers. They plan to build these centers along five main roads in the state.

These five roads are the Lucknow Expressway, Purvanchal Expressway, Bundelkhand Expressway, Gorakhpur Link Expressway, and Ganga Expressway.

The government, led by Yogi, will spend more than seven thousand crores on this.

For the industrial corridor along the Ganga Expressway, 11 sites have been chosen that connect 12 districts, covering a total area of 1522 hectares. The cost for this is estimated to be around Rs 2300 crore.

Besides this, six places have been chosen on the Bundelkhand Expressway, connecting seven districts.

Five places have been selected in ten districts linked to the Agra-Lucknow Expressway.

Additionally, five locations have been identified for the industrial corridor on the Purvanchal Expressway, covering an area of 1,586 hectares, with an estimated cost of Rs 2300 crore.

Two locations on the Gorakhpur Link Expressway have been chosen for industrial centers, covering a total area of 345 hectares, with an estimated cost of Rs 320 crore.

Money has also been provided for buying the land! The state government has notified 108 villages connected to all 30 sites identified by UPEDA.

Rs 200 crore has been released to the six district magistrates for purchasing the land.
