Twitter Introduces Ads Revenue Sharing Program, Enabling Users to Earn

Twitter has introduced a groundbreaking ads revenue sharing program that brings exciting opportunities for its users.

The program enables creators to receive a portion of the ad revenue generated from replies to their posts, offering them a novel way to monetize their content and engage with their followers.

This initiative is set to empower creators who utilize Twitter as a platform to share their work and build meaningful connections with their audience.

Twitter’s Vision for the Program

Announcing the initiative on the ‘Creator Ads Revenue Sharing’ page, Twitter stated, “We are expanding our creator monetization offering to include Ads Revenue Sharing for creators.

This means that creators can now earn a share of ad revenue from their post replies.” The company aims to facilitate direct earning opportunities on its platform, fostering a sustainable ecosystem for content creators.

Generous Compensation and Global Reach

Prominent YouTuber Mr. Beast, also known as James Donaldson, reportedly earned $25,000 (approximately Rs 21 lakh) from Twitter through the ad revenue sharing program.

Numerous users have received compensation exceeding Rs 5 lakh for their participation.

Availability and Invitation-based Rollout

The program will be available in all countries where Stripe Payouts are supported. Twitter plans to initiate the program by inviting a select group of users to accept payments.

Elon Musk previously announced, “Twitter will start paying creators for the ads shown in their replies, with an initial $5 million payment block.”

Spam Reduction Measures Implemented

In addition to the ads revenue sharing program, Twitter announced its implementation of a new message setting aimed at reducing spam messages in direct messages (DMs).

Starting from July 14, messages from people users follow will be directed to the primary inbox, while messages from verified users they don’t follow will be routed to the request inbox.

This update aims to enhance user experience and streamline message filtering.
