The P20 Summit, commencing on October 12th at Yashobhoomi India International Convention and Expo Center (IICEC) in Dwarka, Delhi, is set to welcome delegates from 27 countries.
The event, the first of its kind at Yashobhoomi, promises rigorous security and some traffic disruption.
Delegates’ Stay and Travel Plans
Delegates hailing from 27 countries are accommodated in various hotels, including Leela Palace Hotel, Taj Hotel, ITC Maurya Hotel, Taj Palace Hotel, Rosette House Hotel, Aerocity, and JW Marriott Hotel.
During the conference, they will depart from their hotels to Yasho Bhoomi in the morning and return in the evening on both October 12th and 13th.
On the evening of the 13th, they will visit Parliament House for dinner before heading back to their accommodations.
On the 14th, the delegates will once again convene at Yasobhoomi, and by the morning of the 15th, they will depart for their respective countries.
Traffic Advisory for Delhi Residents
Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory to ensure a smooth flow of traffic during the event.
They advise Delhi residents to consider using public transport to reduce traffic congestion.
Traffic management will be enforced in several areas, including GKPO-Akbar Road, Sardar Patel Marg-Dhaula Kuan Flyover, Parade Road-Mehram Nagar, Palam Flyover Road No.
201 Sector-1, Road No. 210-UER, Panchsheel Marg, Teen Murti Marg, Ulaanbaatar Road-NH-48 (Under Y Shape Shankar Vihar), Dwarka Approach Road-Palam Flyover,
and Road No. 224. Delhi Police has requested people to avoid these routes during the conference.
Travelers and hospital visitors are urged to allocate extra time for their journeys as traffic congestion may lead to delays.
To minimize road traffic, parking is recommended only at designated areas, and the use of public transportation is encouraged.
