Techno is getting ready to launch a new smartphone called Tecno Pop 8, aiming to make a big impact in the beginner-friendly smartphone market.
The phone was introduced globally a few months ago and is now set to make its debut in India, although the exact release date hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Techno teased the phone in a post on their X platform, and 91 Mobiles shared a live image of the upcoming device.
The image reveals that Tecno Pop 8 achieved an AnTuTu score of 240,205, with 81,035 points in the CPU test and 23,050 points in the GPU test.
The phone’s display will feature a punch-hole design, resembling the look of an iPhone from the back. The expected price is less than Rs 7,000.
Now, let’s look at the features and specifications of the global variant of Techno Pop 8: The phone offers a 6.6-inch HD+ LCD panel with a resolution of 720×1612 pixels.
The display is dynamic and has a refreshing rate of 90Hz. Tecno Pop 8 is equipped with up to 4 GB of real RAM and up to 4 GB of extended RAM.
The internal storage capacity is up to 128 GB, and the phone is powered by the UniSoC T606 chipset.
For photography, the rear of the phone boasts a 13-megapixel main lens and an AI camera with LED flash.
For selfies, the phone features an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash.
The device also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and houses a 5000mAh battery that supports 10-watt charging.
The operating system is Android 13 (Go Edition). Techno is offering the phone in four color options: Mystery White, Alpenglow Gold, Magic Skin, and Gravity Black.
