IIT Kharagpur is bringing an exciting change to technical education. They’ve created a course about Artificial Intelligence (AI) through their national AI Hub called AI for Interdisciplinary Cyber Physical Systems (AI4ICPS).
The course is named ‘Hands-on AI for the real-world applications (HAAI)’ and its goal is to teach 100,000 people about AI technologies.
Collaboration with TCS iON
IIT Kharagpur has teamed up with TCS iON, which is a part of Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), to launch this course.
TCS iON will help reach out to people and provide a platform for the course.
AI4ICPS: A Leading AI Education Initiative
AI4ICPS was created under the guidance of the DST, Government of India. It’s a part of the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020).
The Director of IIT Kharagpur, Professor VK Tewari, led the development of this AI course.
The course is designed to meet the needs of the growing AI industry and to follow the recommendations of NEP 2020.
These recommendations include making education accessible to everyone, hands-on learning, improving skills for better jobs, and using technology for better online classes.
TCS iON’s Role
TCS iON is helping to spread the word about this certification program. They’re providing a platform for the course and making it available to educational institutions and people across India.
Key Features of the Course
This course will run for three months on weekends. Professors from different departments of IIT Kharagpur and TCS scientists will teach it.
The course promises 100 hours of practical learning, exposure to the industry, quizzes, discussions, live Q&A sessions, a certificate for the top 1% of participants, and the chance to talk to professionals in the field.
The course even helps with creating resumes through AI4ICPS.
