Tamil Nadu is hosting a special event called the Tamil Nadu Investors Meet 2024 to attract important investors and companies.
The meeting has already begun, and leaders from big companies in India and other countries have come together on January 7 in Chennai, the capital of Tamil Nadu.
During this two-day program, various companies shared their plans to invest in the state.
This investment is expected to bring about the creation of over 20,000 new jobs in Tamil Nadu.
These big companies announced investments
Many big companies, like Tata Electronics, JSW Energy, and TVS Group, say they will invest money in our state.
Other companies did the same in places like Karnataka, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Telangana.
In a meeting in Tamil Nadu called the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024, a company from Vietnam named VinFast Auto said they will spend Rs 16,000 crore on making electric cars in Tuticorin.
This might create 3,000 jobs in our state. JSW Renewables said they will make more than 6,000 jobs by spending Rs 12,000 crore on different projects.
Tata Electronics plans to invest more than Rs 12,000 crore in Krishnagiri district in Tamil Nadu.
An American company in Kancheepuram that makes solar panels will spend Rs 8,100 crore. Hyundai will put Rs 6,180 crore into our state.
More than 20,000 people will get employment
TVS Group is going to make over 500 jobs by putting Rs 5,000 crore into various projects.
Pegatron said it will spend Rs 1,000 crore, giving jobs to 8,000 people in Tamil Nadu.
Godrej Consumer Products plans to create 446 new jobs by investing Rs 515 crore.
Also, Qualcomm plans to spend Rs 177 crore in the design center in Chennai and give jobs to 1,600 people.
All these big companies investing will make a total of over 20,000 new jobs in Tamil Nadu.
India’s growth will get a boost
During the start of the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet 2024, Minister Piyush Goyal mentioned that this investment will help the state’s industries grow.
Because of this, the state will achieve its goal of having a 1 trillion dollar economy soon. Chief Minister MK Stalin was also there at this event.
