Tata Motors to soon launch New Vehicles in Indian Market (Check Names)

Mumbai:

Tata Motors is gearing up to launch a range of new vehicles, including electric cars. Recently, the company secured trademarks for the names Tata Forest and Tata Azura.

While the exact usage of these names remains uncertain,

speculation suggests that one of them might be linked to the upcoming Tata Curve concept-based coupe SUV.

Variety of Models on Offer

Tata has made it clear that the electric version of the Curve will debut in early 2024, followed by the release of its Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) counterpart.

The Curve concept is a showcase of Tata’s fresh “digital” design style, already seen in the new Nexon and Nexon EV models, both set to hit the market on September 14, 2023.

Design Insights

The production version of the Tata Curve, possibly named Tata Azura, is expected to closely resemble the concept’s design.

This model may feature square wheel arches, body cladding, and an integrated sloping roof at the rear. Inside, expect a three-layer dashboard design with angular elements.

Interior Features

The Azura SUV’s interior will include standout elements like dual digital screens (one for infotainment and one for the instrument cluster), dual-zone climate control,

a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, a floating center console, a center armrest, a new two-spoke steering wheel, and a rotary gear selector with an illuminated logo.

Powertrain Choices

In the upcoming Tata Azura EV, the company will employ Ziptron technology, providing an estimated range of approximately 400-500 kilometers.

However, details regarding the battery, power, and torque remain undisclosed.

The ICE version of the Curve SUV could feature a new 1.2-liter TGDI petrol engine, producing 125 bhp power and 225 Nm torque.

This engine meets Stage II BS6 norms and can run on E20 fuel.

Both manual and automatic transmissions may be available.

The SUV is expected to compete with models like the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Grand Vitara.
