Buying Tata Motors cars has become more expensive since February 1, 2024. The popular SUV Tata Nexon is also affected by this change.
Its price has gone up by up to Rs 45,000. Before, the starting price for its basic model, Smart MT, was Rs 8,09,990.
Now, it’s Rs 8,14,990, meaning it’s gone up by Rs 5,000. Here are the new prices for all Nexon variants.
Design and Size of Tata Nexon Facelift
The design of the Nexon facelift looks a lot like the Curve and Harrier EV concepts. It has split-headlamp setup with headlights in trapezoidal housing.
The top version has sequential LED daytime running lights (DRLs) connected to the Tata Motors logo. The lower bumper has a thick strip for the number plate.
There are new 16-inch alloy wheels and an accent line that’s no longer in a different color.
The facelift has a full-width LED light bar connecting the taillights. The reverse light has been moved to the bumper.
The SUV’s dimensions haven’t changed much. It’s 2mm longer and 14mm taller, but 7mm narrower.
The wheelbase and ground clearance remain the same, but the boot space has increased by 32 liters, now at 382 liters.
Interior and Features of Tata Nexon Facelift
Inside, the facelift looks similar to the Curve concept. There are fewer physical buttons, replaced by touch-based panels for HVAC controls.
The dashboard has leather inserts and a carbon-fiber-like finish.
The top Nexon facelift has a 10.25-inch floating touchscreen and a similarly sized digital instrument cluster for navigation.
It includes features like a 360-degree camera, connected car technology, wireless charger, ventilated seats, air purifier, voice-assisted sunroof, and more.
Safety features include 6 airbags, ESC, three-point seat belts, ISOFIX, and emergency and breakdown call assist.
Powertrain and Models of Tata Nexon Facelift
The Nexon facelift will come with a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine (120hp, 170Nm torque) and a 1.5-liter diesel engine (115hp, 260Nm torque).
Both engines will have a 6-speed manual or 6-speed AMT. The petrol engine will also have a 5-speed manual or 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
Tata Motors has updated the Nexon variants. They are now Smart, Smart+, Smart+ S, Pure, Pure S, Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Fearless, Fearless S,
and Fearless+ S. ‘+’ indicates optional packages with more features, while ‘S’ means sunroof. You can choose from 6 colors.
Top SUV in January 2024
In January, Nexon was the top-selling SUV with 14,916 units, followed by Tata Punch with 14,383 units. Maruti Brezza, Mahindra Scorpio, and Hyundai Creta followed.
