Tata Motors is gearing up to showcase its wide range of new models at the Auto Expo this time.
This time you will also see some concept models from Punch Electric to Tata’s podium.
The company will also showcase its two new concepts, Curvv and Avinya.
It is being told that the company will introduce the Tata Curve as its future mid-size SUV,
which will be launched with both conventional fuel (ICE) and electric powertrains.
At the same time, the company will present Tata Avinya as an electric car.
It is reported that vehicles based on these concept models can be launched by 2024.
The unique thing about these models is that they have been designed on Tata’s “New Digital Design Language.”
The company unveiled these concepts in April last year and shared some details related to these upcoming vehicles.
So let’s know about these two concept models of Tata –
Tata Curv ev:
As the name suggests, the Curvv is given a curvy design by the company, with a sloping roofline that tapers towards the coupe style at the rear.
It has sharp styling, a three-layer dashboard, multiple screens, and an angular design.
Tata Motors had said that the new Generation 2 EV architecture would be used in the model on the Curve concept.
Multiple body styles and powertrain options will be brought together. The Gen 2 architecture is a modified version of the Gen 1.
This modification allows a bigger battery and different powertrain options like all-wheel drive etc., to fit comfortably in the car.
Tata has not revealed anything about the powertrain of the Curve. But in media reports,
it will be based on the company’s second-generation EV architecture, which can offer a driving range of up to 500 km on a single charge.
The cabin of this car has been given a futuristic interior layout, which provides it with a completely different look.
A unique feature of this car will also be that it will be given a camera in place of the rearview mirror, which has just been seen in the Tata vehicle.
A digital instrument cluster with a large touchscreen will be given at the center stage in its cabin, which will be different from the traditional instrument cluster.
At the same time, many advanced features like ambient lighting and automatic air conditioning (AC) with touchscreen control can also be seen in this car.
Tata Avinya:
The modern Avinya concept was also showcased in April last year. For the time being, Tata has decided to focus more on electric vehicles.
It is being told that the Gen 3 architecture can be used in the Avinya concept. It is considered to be a more modified architecture than Gen 2.
The styling of the Avinya model is based on the battery and electric motors.
The concept vehicle gets concise front and rear overhangs which only help to accentuate the long wheelbase.
Also, it will get a ‘T’ logo with a solid grille section, a slim headlight, and a smartly styled front splitter.
This vehicle will get to see the floating tail-light look. There is no central infotainment screen on the dash.
The company can present it as a crossover electric vehicle. This will be the company’s first electric car, which will be based on the Gen3 EV platform, which offers a tremendous battery range.
According to media reports, the company will provide an ultra-fast charging setup in this car, which will be charged so much in just 30 minutes that you will get a range of up to 500 kilometers.
In Avinya EV, the company can give place to connected car technology and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) technology. Apart from this, a voice command system can also be provided.
