New Delhi: Everyone uses a banking service. These services are available online and offline. There are no free services, such as SMS transactions, IMPS funds transfer, check clearance, or ATM withdrawal facility.

The bank charges a fee for all services. Let’s talk about 7 services that the bank charges customers.

Cash transaction

Each bank offers the option of cash transactions. However, this transaction is limited to a specific limit. Cash transactions exceeding this limit will result in a fee.

The bank’s rules will determine the exact amount of this charge. It is usually between 20 and 100 rupees in a government bank.

Minimum Balance

You must maintain a minimum balance in your bank account. A minimum balance fee will be applied to accounts with less than this amount. You will be charged if your account balance is below 10000.

There is a limit on the minimum balance that can be maintained in each bank. The charge for not maintaining it may differ.

IMPS Fees

While all banks offer NEFT or RTGS transactions at no cost to customers, most banks charge for IMPS transactions. The charge could be anywhere from Rs 1 to 25.

You don’t have to pay any charges if your check exceeds Rs 1 lakh. However, if you have a larger check, you will have to pay a clearing charge.

The fee is 150 rupees. However, checks can be purchased at a cost. SBI will provide 10 checks for a savings account. Additional checks may need to be paid.

ATM Transaction

You can withdraw cash from ATMs for free for a limited time. Each transaction exceeding this limit will incur a fee. Each bank will charge a different amount. This can be charged by most banks at Rs 20-50.

SMS

When money is credited to or deducted from your bank account, the bank will send you an alert message. This is also a charge that banks may levie. This fee is small and most people don’t know about it.

The charge is Rs 5 per month at Axis Bank, and Rs 15 per quarter at ICICI. The charges vary for different banks.

Replacement of a card

You will be charged a fee to replace your debit card if it is lost. The cost of this card can be anywhere from Rs 50 up to Rs 500. Each bank has its own set of charges.
