SBI Pensioners can now Submit Digital Life Certificate via Video Call: See Process

If you’re a pensioner, you must update your life certificate. Here’s how: You’ll have a new option to send a video from your home to submit your life certificate.

This way, you can avoid your pension benefits being stopped. Every year, before November 30th, pensioners must submit their life certificate.

If you don’t do this, you’ll stop getting your pension.

To get a digital certificate based on your Aadhaar for your LIC Pension Policy, keep these things in mind.

If you have an SBI pension account, you need to send your life certificate by the deadline. You can use the video facility for this purpose.

Who can use this facility?

This is for pensioners whose pensions are managed by the State Bank of India (SBI).

It’s also for those living in India, whose Aadhaar is linked to their pension account, and who submitted their life certificate last year.

How to make a video call with VLC?

Go to the Pension Service website and click on the ‘VideoLC’ link. You can also use the ‘Video Life Certificate’ button in the Pension Service Mobile App.

What do you need for a video VLC?

If you’re a pensioner, you need a smartphone, tablet, laptop, or PC with a stable internet connection to chat live with an SBI officer.

You must also have a PAN card. Your mobile number should be linked to Aadhaar, and your Aadhaar number should be in the PPO.

How to submit a video digital life certificate:

1. Go to the Pension Service website: www.pensionseva.sbi.

2. Click on Video LC to start the Video Life Certificate process.

3. Enter your SBI pension account number.

4. Enter the One-Time Password (OTP) received on your registered mobile number along with Aadhaar and click ‘Submit.’

5. Agree to the terms and conditions and click ‘Start Journey.’

6. Keep your original PAN card ready and click ‘I am ready.’

7. Give permission to start the video call. Once granted, you’ll speak to an SBI officer when available.

8. You can also schedule the conversation at your convenience.

9. During the conversation, you’ll read a 4-digit verification on your screen.

10. Show your PAN card to the bank officials.

11. You don’t need to show your Aadhar card during the Video Life Certificate, just keep your PAN card with you.

12. The bank officer will take your photograph and video to complete the life certificate process.
