Samsung just released new phones called Samsung Galaxy S24 Series. They have cool new features. One of them is slow-motion.
You can make videos play in slow motion just by holding them down. Even if you didn’t record them that way, you can still watch them slow.
This is really cool! Before, only the newest phones had this, like Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, and Galaxy S24 Ultra.
But now, Samsung is adding this feature to older phones too. Isn’t that great?
The news about this came from a message on Samsung’s website in South Korea on February 13th.
They said eight older phones will get this feature soon. These are Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+,
Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy Tab S9, Galaxy Tab S9+, Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, Galaxy Z Flip 5, and Galaxy Z Fold 5.
Why only these phones? Samsung explained that this feature needs a strong chip inside the phone.
All these eight phones have a chip called Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is strong enough. So, other phones with weaker chips won’t get this feature.
When will these eight phones get the feature? Samsung calls this feature “Time Zoom.” It’s like zooming in on time instead of space.
You can see things slowly. They didn’t say exactly when it will come, but maybe next month with an update called One UI 6.1.
Right now, this slow-motion feature only works for videos between 720p and 8K and in a file format called MP4.
Samsung wants to make it better, so they might add support for more kinds of videos later.
