After a long wait, Royal Enfield has finally shared the prices for its brand-new Himalayan bike. The starting price is Rs 2.69 lakh for the basic Kaza Brown color.
The mid-range color costs Rs 2.74 lakh, Comet White is priced at Rs 2.79 lakh, and the most expensive Hanley Black is Rs 2.84 lakh. Remember, these prices are valid until December 31, 2023.
The new model is Rs 54,000 more expensive compared to the old Himalayan 411, which ranged from Rs 2.15 lakh to Rs 2.30 lakh.
Let’s talk about the new Himalayan’s engine. It has a new liquid-cooled 452cc single-cylinder engine named Sherpa 450.
It produces 40hp power and 40Nm torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-and-assist clutch. This engine is about 10 kg lighter than the old LS 411 motor.
The bike features a brand-new steel twin-spar frame, a 43mm USD fork, and preload-adjustable monoshock suspension.
The ground clearance is 230mm, and the stock seat height is 825mm, extendable up to 845mm and lowerable to 805mm.
Equipped with dual-channel ABS, the bike has a wheel size of 21/17 inches (front/rear), with new tires designed for the Himalayan.
The braking system includes a 320mm front disc and a 270mm rear disc, both controlled by dual-channel ABS, which can be switched off.
The new Himalayan introduces a 4-inch circular TFT dash that can connect to your phone via Bluetooth, allowing Google Map Navigation.
Music playback is controllable through the joystick on the left switch cube. It is also the first Royal Enfield bike with ride-by-wire, offering two riding modes: Eco and Performance.
