Bengaluru-based electric vehicle (EV) company, River, has raised the price of its initial electric scooter.
The River Indie e-scooter now costs Rs 1.38 lakh (excluding taxes, in Bengaluru), which is Rs 13,000 more than its previous price. Let’s find out more about this.
Price Increase for River Indie
The River Indie was introduced last year with a starting price of Rs 1.25 lakh (excluding taxes, in Bengaluru).
However, this price was applicable only for the first 1,000 customers. It’s essential to note that the initial price was declared before the FAME subsidy update.
Despite this, the increase in price is relatively moderate compared to other electric scooters.
Second Batch of Bookings
River has initiated bookings for the second batch of the Indie electric scooter.
Interested buyers can reserve the scooter on the company’s website by paying a token amount of Rs 2,500.
Information about when the company will start delivering the second batch is not available yet.
Meanwhile, deliveries for the first set of customers in Bengaluru have already commenced.
Unique Features of River Indie
Market as an SUV among scooters, the River Indie boasts a striking design with its large body, twin-beam LED headlights, and built-in mounts for side panniers.
Expansion Plans
Initially focusing on its home market in Bengaluru, River has recently opened its first dealership in the city.
The company intends to establish more outlets across the country in the upcoming year.
