This indigenous store will feature products crafted by traditional artisans, promoting and preserving age-old craftsmanship.

The aim is to help traditional arts and artisans – Nita Ambani

Nita Ambani mentioned during the opening of the ‘Swadeshi’ store that Reliance aims to start a small effort through this store to support and showcase traditional Indian arts and crafts. This store aims to promote the ‘Make in India’ initiative.

This store will help many artisans in the country by giving them a platform and better earning opportunities.

Indian craftsmanship is a source of pride, and through this initiative, we aim to enhance its global recognition.

Additionally, we plan to expand this store to America and Europe to showcase and celebrate Indian crafts internationally.

‘Swadeshi’ store built in 20 thousand square feet

The store in Hyderabad, called Swadeshi, covers a vast area of 20 thousand square feet.

The goal of establishing this store is to showcase Indian art globally and provide artisans with a great way to earn income.

In addition to crafts, this shop will also offer food and clothing. There’s a scanner on the items in the shop, and customers can use the ‘Scan and Know’ feature to get information about the craft by scanning it.

Indigenous zone has been created for craftsmen in NMACC

To assist the skilled workers and artists, a dedicated Swadeshi area has been established at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Center (NMACC) in Mumbai.

Within this zone, there are items showcasing Indian crafts available for purchase.

All the proceeds from the sales in this area directly benefit the artisans.

To help our local artists even more, Reliance Foundation has opened a special store called Swadeshi Store on a larger scale.

Additionally, Reliance Foundation will soon create a Skill Enhancement Center for artisans called the Artisan Initiative for Skill Enhancement (RAISE) center in the country.

There will be 18 centers across India. The plan is to connect more than 600 artisans through these centers.
