Reduction in Prices of Commercial Cylinders

Oil marketing companies have taken steps to ease the burden on the public amidst the Lok Sabha elections by reducing the prices of 19 kg commercial cylinders.

After reducing the price of commercial cylinder by Rs 19, it has become Rs 1745.50 in Delhi. Earlier, the price of 19 kg cylinder in Delhi was Rs 1764.50.

After the cut, the price of commercial cylinder in Kolkata has become Rs 1859. A 19 kg cylinder will be available for Rs 1698.50 in Mumbai and Rs 1911 in Chennai.

No Change in Domestic LPG Prices

While the price of 19 kg gas cylinder has been reduced, there has been no change in the price of 14.2 kg gas cylinder used in homes.

The price of domestic LPG cylinder is Rs 803 in the national capital Delhi. At the same time, Ujjwala beneficiaries are getting 14.2 kg cylinder for Rs 603.

Increase in Aviation Fuel Prices

On the first day of May, airlines companies faced a price hike in aviation fuel.

Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) have increased the price of aviation fuel by Rs 749.25/kg litre.

The new rates have come into effect from today (1 May 2024). Earlier, there was a reduction of Rs 502.91/kg liter in April, whereas in the month of March, the price of aviation fuel had increased by Rs 624.37/kg liter.
