To keep people safe, speed limit rules change on routes like Noida-Greater Noida Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and Elevated every year on December 15.
Those who don’t know about these rules can get fines. On the first day, 468 fines were issued by traffic police.
Yamuna Expressway, which is 165 kilometers long between Agra and Greater Noida, gets foggy in winter.
So, the speed limit is reduced from December 15 to February 15. Light vehicles can go up to 80km/h instead of 100km/h, and heavy vehicles up to 60km/h.
To ensure safety on Yamuna Expressway, the authority lowers the speed limit every winter.
From December 15 to February 15, light vehicles’ speed limit is 80km/h, and heavy vehicles’ limit is 60km/h. If rules aren’t followed, a fine of Rs 2000 is issued.
