Rajasthan Cuts VAT Rates to Promote Green Energy

In her budget speech, Rajasthan’s Finance Minister Diya Kumari has made significant adjustments to VAT rates aimed at fostering environmental sustainability.

The VAT rate on Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) and Piped Natural Gas (PNG) has been slashed from 14.5% to 10%.

This move is designed to encourage the adoption of cleaner energy sources and promote green development initiatives across the state.

Boosting Aviation Sector and Employment Opportunities

To stimulate growth in the aviation sector and create employment opportunities, the Finance Minister has introduced favorable tax reforms.

Specifically, the VAT on aviation turbine fuel for flight training organizations and aircraft type training organizations has been reduced drastically from 26% to just 2%.

This initiative aims to attract investment in aviation training infrastructure and bolster employment prospects within the sector.

Deputy Chief Minister (Finance) Diya Kumari presented the Bhajan Lal government’s inaugural full budget on Wednesday, introducing several new schemes focused on job creation and economic development.

This budget marks a significant milestone as the state government asserts its fiscal priorities ahead of the central government.

Residents and businesses alike are closely monitoring changes in pricing and taxation outlined in the budget.
