Indian Railways is all set to introduce a fresh twist to the iconic Vande Bharat Express, now donning an eye-catching orange and gray theme.
The railway authority has successfully completed trial runs for this new iteration of the Vande Bharat Express, a significant step towards its upcoming launch.
Manufactured by the Integral Coach Factory (ICF), the new train underwent inspection by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav before embarking on its inaugural trial run in Chennai.
This latest trial run took place on the track between ICE and Padi Railway flyover. Impressively, this marks the 33rd Vande Bharat Express rake manufactured by ICF.
Notable enhancements have been made to the train’s features, promising an improved travel experience.

At present, Vande Bharat Express is operational on 25 diverse routes across India, seamlessly connecting capital cities, states, and union territories spanning various railway zones.
Some of the prominent cities linked by the Vande Bharat Express include Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Lucknow, among others.
The Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated on February 15, 2019, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who flagged off the first train running between New Delhi and Varanasi.
Notably, this innovation was brought to life at the Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai, aligning with the “Make in India” initiative.
Simultaneously, the Integral Coach Factory is gearing up to introduce the Vande Bharat Express with sleeper coaches, aimed at revolutionizing overnight travel.
Anticipations run high that these trains will gradually replace the Rajdhani Express on various railway routes.
The production of these new coaches will be overseen by Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL) in collaboration with TMH from Russia.
