In a strong move against unlawful train stoppages caused by unauthorized chain pulling, the East Central Railway has launched a vigorous campaign.
Security forces are actively monitoring individuals who engage in this practice under Operation ‘Time Management’, aimed at preventing unnecessary delays to train services.
Birendra Kumar, Chief Public Relations Officer of East Central Railway, shared that from August 1 to August 7, a total of 188 individuals were apprehended by the Railway Protection Force for illicit chain pulling across various sections of the railway network.
These individuals were detained under section 141 of the Railway Act.
Among the targeted areas, the highest number of arrests were made in Danapur mandal (75),
followed by Samastipur mandal (42), Sonpur mandal (38), Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay mandal (20), and Dhanbad mandal (13) during this week-long campaign.
Unauthorized chain pulling, known as ACP, causes significant inconvenience to passengers, particularly those on long-distance journeys.
Recognizing this issue, East Central Railway is committed to sustaining this campaign to ensure passengers’ convenience in the future as well.
