The Railway Ministry has been making improvements to help passengers. They’ve changed things quickly in the past few years, providing new facilities for travelers.
Now, they’ve made things easier for people who use the trains every day by lowering the ticket prices.
Before, the minimum fare for a train ride went up from Rs 10 to Rs 30 over three years. But now, it’s back to Rs 10.
After the prices went up, many passengers had to take more expensive express trains.
This decision by the Railway Board will help lots of people who travel every day, especially in places like Delhi-NCR.
Trains have always been seen as an affordable way to travel, so many people rely on them.
Before the pandemic in 2020, the minimum fare was Rs 10. But after trains started running again post-COVID, it went up to Rs 30, making it three times more expensive.
Passenger groups had asked the Railway Board to lower the prices. They’d asked multiple times for the increased fares to be reduced.
Now, the Railway Board has said that the minimum fare will be Rs 10. The information about the lower fares has been updated in the ticket booking apps and software.
After COVID, the trains were only running as mail and express trains, which cost at least Rs 30. Local trains weren’t running during this time.
But now that local trains are back, the minimum fare is back to Rs 10. This change will help many people who travel daily, including those in Delhi-NCR.
