Simple Energy recently introduced its most affordable electric scooter, the Simple Dot One, at the cost of Rs 99,999.
However, this is a limited-time offer, and starting from January 1, 2024, the price will go up by Rs 40,000, making it Rs 1.39 lakh.
The company is accepting pre-bookings until January 27, 2024, through its official website.
Currently, the company has released this electric scooter in a single variant with a fixed battery, offering a range of 151 km on a single charge.
It comes in four color options: Namma Red, Brazen Black, Grace White, and Azure Blue.
The Dot One includes a 750W charger, and the company plans to begin deliveries initially in Bengaluru before expanding to other cities.
In terms of performance, the scooter can accelerate from 0 to 40 km per hour in 2.7 seconds, powered by a 3.7 kWh battery pack and an 8.5 kW electric motor generating 72 Nm torque.
It features tubeless tires, 12-inch wheels, a touchscreen instrument panel, CBS, disc brakes on both wheels, and a 35-litre under-seat storage. App connectivity is also available.
The Dot One will face competition from models by Ola, Ather, and TVS.
