The demand for electric cars in India is increasing, catching the attention of car manufacturers.
Porsche, a top luxury car maker from Germany, has introduced its new electric SUV called Porsche Macan in India.
Even though there are two versions of this electric SUV, the company has launched only one variant called Macan Turbo in India.
This SUV has an attractive appearance and a powerful battery, with a starting price of Rs 1.65 crore (excluding additional costs).
Description of Porsche Macan:
In terms of appearance and design, the Macan comes with luxurious features similar to other Porsche cars and has a special sporty feel.
The design of the Macan Electric is inspired by the Taycan, giving it a coupe-like look with daytime running lights. Inside, the car provides a super-luxurious cabin experience, reminiscent of the Cayenne.
It features three screens, including a 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster and a standard 10.9-inch infotainment system.
An optional 10.9-inch touchscreen is also available for the passenger, enhancing the overall car experience.
Though slightly larger than its traditional petrol model, the electric Macan is 103 mm longer and 15 mm wider, with a slightly lower height.
This electric car is built on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture, developed collaboratively by Porsche and Audi.
This platform will also be used for upcoming vehicles like the Audi Q6 e-tron and the Cayenne Electric.
