Indian Railways’ Vande Bharat trains continue to expand their reach across various routes.
By the end of this month, almost all states were expected to have their own Vande Bharat train.
Excitingly, five new states are set to receive the gift of Vande Bharat trains, as PM Modi may inaugurate them on June 26.
This will be a significant milestone as it marks the first time that five Vande Bharat trains will be launched simultaneously.
The upcoming Vande Bharat train routes include Mumbai-Goa, Bengaluru-Hubli, Patna-Ranchi, Bhopal-Indore, and Bhopal-Jabalpur. Of note, the Patna-Ranchi route will welcome Bihar’s very first Vande Bharat train.
Currently, Vande Bharat trains are already operational in Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
It is anticipated that PM Modi may flag off these trains through video conferencing.
Previously, on May 25, PM Modi inaugurated Uttarakhand’s first semi-high-speed Vande Bharat Express train, connecting Dehradun to New Delhi.
The inaugural ceremony was held with great enthusiasm. Furthermore, on May 18, PM Modi virtually flagged off the Vande Bharat Express between Puri and Howrah.
These state-of-the-art semi-high-speed trains boast advanced passenger amenities, providing travelers with a host of benefits.
Not only do they offer cost-effective alternatives to air travel, but they also significantly reduce travel time compared to conventional trains.
Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav expressed PM Modi’s goal of expanding Vande Bharat’s presence to nearly all states by June this year after the launch of Odisha’s first Vande Bharat train.
Recently, a trial run of the Patna-Ranchi Vande Bharat train was successfully conducted.
The train departed from Patna Junction at 6:55 am and arrived in Ranchi via Gaya Junction.
The train was escorted by a team of five armed security personnel from the Patna Railway Protection Force (RPF) within their jurisdiction in Gaya,
after which a separate RPF team took charge of escorting the train to Ranchi.
The train reached Ranchi at 12:40 pm and departed for its return journey at 2:20 pm, arriving back in Patna at 8:25 pm.
Stay tuned for more updates on the expansion of the Vande Bharat train network, bringing efficient and modern rail travel to new regions across India.
