PM Gati Shakti Projects:The government’s PM Gati Shakti initiative has suggested approving six essential road and railway infrastructure projects totaling Rs 52,000 crore.
This information was shared in an official statement on Thursday.”
According to the information, this makes it a total of 112 projects that the Network Planning Group (NPG) has reviewed since PM Gati Shakti started. These projects together cost around Rs 11.53 lakh crore.
These six projects were discussed and looked at during the 56th NPG meeting on September 27th.
During a group meeting for PM Gati Shakti, they looked at six project ideas.
These include four projects from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and two from the Ministry of Railways.
The total cost for all these projects is approximately Rs 52,000 crore.
The inter-ministerial NPG meets every two weeks. During these meetings, they review infrastructure projects to make sure they are being carried out properly and that the area around the project is also being developed.
What is PM Gati Shakti Yojana?
PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan is a government project. It aims to make big improvements to India’s infrastructure.
On the 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the launch of a Rs 100 lakh crore project called Gati Shakti Yojana.
This project is all about developing ‘composite infrastructure’ in India.

Who is funding PM Gati Shakti?
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman set aside Rs 20,000 crore for Gati Shakti in the Union Budget for the year 2022-23.
This money is for planning and doing the infrastructure projects that connect things together.
