PhonePe has teamed up with NeoPay in UAE, making it easy to pay with PhonePe there.
PhonePe, a digital payments platform affiliated with Walmart Group, has announced that when you travel to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), you can now choose UPI payment at Neo-Pay terminals in Mashreq.
Your money will be taken from your account in Indian Rupees and the payment will be in UAE Dirham. You can easily pay by scanning the QR code.
Here’s how you can pay with PhonePe in UAE
PhonePe and Mashreq have made the payment process very simple. Users of the payment app just need to scan the QR code of NeoPay terminals in the PhonePe app, and the payment will happen instantly.
Money will be deducted in Indian currency smoothly, and the payment will be made easily based on the exchange rate.
What’s great is that Indians living in UAE can also benefit from this collaboration.
They just need to sign in to PhonePe using their UAE mobile number and link their Non-Resident External (NRE) bank account. After that, payments will be easy for them too.
