Good news for those with Ola’s electric scooters or those planning to get one! Ola Electric has released a new software update called MoveOS 4 for its electric scooters on January 18. The standout feature is the ‘Anti Theft Alarm.’
This works like the locking system in cars. After updating the software, if someone tries to steal or tamper with your scooter, the software will send you a notification on your phone and make a loud beeping sound.
What’s new: Ola introduced MoveOS 4 on October 15, 2023, and now an updated version is available, fixing previous issues. Users will now have a new interface,
allowing them to use many features with a single tap without needing the navigation screen. The company initially released MoveOS 4 to 50,000 beta users in 2023.
Over 100 features: This software, with over 100 features, is compatible with Ola S1 Generation 1, S1 Pro (Second Generation), and S1 Air in the company’s portfolio.
The MoveOS 4 software will be rolled out through an over-the-air (OTA) update in the next 7 days.
Biometric App Lock/Unlock: Ola also lets customers lock/unlock the scooter using a biometric app. Users can use their face or finger to open the application.
Other features like hill hold and descent control, garage mode, improved regeneration, profile control, care mode, concert mode, increased range, and better proximity unlock have also been added.
Ola Maps update: The new MoveOS update includes an update to Ola Maps, integrating Ola’s hypercharger network into the navigation system. It offers features like ‘Find My Scooter’ and ‘Share Location from App.
‘ Ola has introduced a new Ride Journal feature that displays average speed, battery usage, range, regen, money saved, and distance covered on each trip.
