Many people who live in rented homes in Delhi dream of having their own house.
Now, there’s a great chance to turn that dream into reality with the largest housing scheme by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) starting today.
There are around 32,000 residential units in this plan, offering a variety of options from affordable to expensive flats.
It’s important to know that the first 27,000 people to apply will be allotted flats on a first-come, first-served basis.
The remaining 5,000 flats will be auctioned online. Interestingly, even those who already own flats or plots of 67 square meters or smaller can apply, including 1,100 luxury flats.
The application process is entirely online, different from the previous housing scheme.
Applicants will need to pay a registration fee to participate in the scheme. After twenty days, they can visit the location of the selected flat based on their priority. DDA will provide contact details of officers for assistance.
DDA states that the flat prices range from Rs 11.50 lakh to over Rs 5 crore. The rates vary for different categories, with EWS flats at Rs 1.5 lakh, LIG flats at Rs 23 lakh, MIG flats at Rs 1 crore, HIG flats at Rs 1.4 crore,
and Super HIG flats at Rs 2.5 crore. Penthouse prices start from Rs 5 crore, determined through e-auction.
The majority of flats in the scheme are located in Narela, with over 28,000 flats of different classes.
Among the first-come, first-served scheme, Dwarka Sector-19B has about 728 EWS flats, Dwarka Sector-14 has 1,008 EWS flats, and Loknayakpuram has 224 EWS flats.
