Nokia G42 5G: A Game-Changer in the Affordable 5G Smartphone Market

Nokia is gearing up to launch an upcoming mid-range smartphone that is set to make a significant impact in the market.

The device, known as the Nokia G42 5G, recently made an appearance on the Geekbench benchmarking site and has now received certification from the Bluetooth SIG authority.

Additionally, another Nokia phone, the Nokia G310 5G, has also received Bluetooth certification, alongside leaked specifications.

The Bluetooth SIG listings reveal that the Nokia G310 5G carries the model number TA-1573, while the Nokia G42 5G is identified by model numbers TA-1591 and TA-1581.

These listings confirm support for Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity and provide key insights into the specifications of both phones.

Both the Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G will feature a 6.5-inch LCD panel with a V-shaped notch. The display will support HD+ resolution of 720 x 1612 pixels, boasting a 20:9 aspect ratio, a 90 Hz refresh rate, and a brightness level of up to 560 nits.

The screen will be protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood, both smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 480 Plus 5G chipset and will come preloaded with the Android 13 operating system.

The Nokia G42 5G has been spotted on Geekbench with 4 GB of RAM. However, other reports suggest that a 6 GB RAM variant will also be available, offering up to 128 GB of storage options.

Currently, details regarding the camera configuration and battery size are not available. As mentioned earlier, both the Nokia G42 5G and Nokia G310 5G will feature similar displays and chipsets.

Whether other specifications of these phones will also be the same or differ is yet to be confirmed.

Nonetheless, the Nokia G42 5G is expected to revolutionize the market for affordable 5G smartphones, providing consumers with powerful features at an attractive price point.
