Noida residents are in for some exciting news. Soon, Noida Metro will introduce its own riding app, similar to Ola and Uber.
This app will make it incredibly easy for both Noida Metro passengers and the general public to book e-rickshaws, e-cycles, taxis, and cabs.
The app is being designed to mimic the user-friendly experience offered by Ola and Uber.
With the launch of the Noida Metro Riding App, everyday commuters will find it much simpler to book local transportation options like e-rickshaws, taxis, cabs, and e-cycles.
Key Highlights of the Noida Metro Riding App
Multi-Modal Integration: Noida Metro is set to launch a comprehensive application that integrates various modes of transportation.
Users can expect a seamless experience when booking e-rickshaws, autos, battery-powered vehicles, buses, Ola-Uber services, taxis, and e-cycles, all on a single platform.
Advanced Booking for Buses: The app will also offer an option to book bus seats in advance, allowing passengers to secure online tickets for their journey.
Safety Features: The app will prioritize safety with features such as an emergency SOS button. Users can feel secure knowing they can seek help in case of an emergency.
Live Tracking: The app will enable live tracking of vehicles, providing real-time information about the whereabouts of the booked vehicle.
Emergency Numbers: During the booking process, the app will provide the user with the name of the driver, vehicle number, and an emergency contact number. This information can be shared with family members for added safety.
Noida Metro MD Lokesh M shared that a presentation about the app’s features will precede its launch.
The app aims to provide passengers with reliable transportation options for their journeys to and from the station.
The inclusion of an emergency number in the app will connect users to the police server, ensuring immediate assistance in times of trouble.
The development of this app began in June 2023, with NMRC seeking input from the public and metro passengers. The app’s design has been influenced by these valuable suggestions.
Currently, approximately 50 thousand passengers travel on Noida Metro’s Aqua Line daily.
Expansion plans are underway to extend the metro route from Sector-51 Metro in Noida to Greater Noida Depot, including additional routes from Greno West and Sector-142 to Botanical Garden.
