New Pixel 8a Phone Details Leak Ahead of launch

Google is gearing up to unveil its newest smartphone, the Pixel 8a, at the upcoming Google I/O developer conference on May 14.

With the launch date looming, leaks about the Pixel 8a are starting to surface, revealing details about its price, color options, and features.

Price Expectations

Reports suggest that the Pixel 8a will debut with a price tag identical to its predecessor, the Pixel 7a, at least in the US market.

The Pixel 7a currently starts at $499 for the 128GB storage variant and $559 for the 256GB storage variant. It’s likely that the Pixel 8a will maintain similar pricing.

Color Choices

According to leaks from WinFuture, the Pixel 8a will come in four vibrant colors: Obsidian (black), Porcelain (beige), Bay (light blue), and Mint (light green).

However, it appears that the 256GB model will only be available in Obsidian black.

Expected Specifications

Rumors suggest that the Pixel 8a will sport a 6.1-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1400 nits.

Like the Pixel 8 series, it may feature Google’s in-house Tensor G3 processor and run on Android 14 software with 8GB of RAM.

Camera-wise, expect a 64MP main sensor, 13MP ultrawide sensor, and 13MP selfie camera, along with features like Best Take and Magic Eraser.

The phone is rumored to house a 4500mAh battery with support for 27W fast charging.
