India’s largest airline, IndiGo, will introduce flights on seven new international routes by the end of this financial year.
This announcement was made by the CEO, Peter Elbers, during an event in Delhi celebrating IndiGo’s 18th anniversary.
New Business Class and Loyalty Program
Starting August 6, IndiGo will open bookings for its new business class seats, available for travel from November 14.
Fares for these seats will start at Rs 18,018. The airline is also launching a new loyalty program called “Blue Chip,” set to roll out around September.
By mid-November, IndiGo will offer business class seats on 12 domestic routes, including select routes from Delhi. Booking for these seats will begin on Tuesday.
Expansion and Aircraft Plans
With the addition of seven new international routes, IndiGo’s international destinations will exceed 40.
The airline currently operates over 2,000 flights daily to 33 international cities, serving 120 destinations. Jaffna in Sri Lanka is among the new destinations.

As of June, IndiGo’s fleet includes 382 aircraft for domestic flights, with 18 on lease. The airline plans to take delivery of A321 XLR aircraft next year and A350 aircraft by 2027.
