AI is making it easier for us to turn our thoughts into reality. From ChatGPT to Mid-Journey, we’ve learned how to make things happen just by using our brains.
Recently, OpenAI introduced Sora, a tool that can make videos from text.
And now, Google’s DeepMind team has made “Genie” – a new tool that can make video games from pictures or short sentences.
Google made a new AI called “Jenny”. It can make whole video games from just a picture or a few words.
You can even play these games because they’re interactive. This technology was made by Google’s DeepMind team.
In the future, it could be great for making entertainment, games, and robots. Jenny has watched millions of hours of video games, especially 2D ones.
They didn’t have labels, so Jenny had to figure out what was happening on its own.
That’s how Jenny learned to make whole games from just a picture or a few words.
Quality: Right now, Genie can only make games with low picture quality because it works slowly (1 frame per second).
Research only: Right now, Genie is only for research at Google DeepMind. It’s not ready for everyone to use yet.
Genie could be used the wrong way, like any strong tool. So, Google is thinking about how to use it in a good way.
Even though it’s still being made, when everyone can use it, Genie could change a lot of things.
It could make new worlds that you can play in with just a little bit of information. That could be really exciting for entertainment, learning, and other things in the future.
