MG Motor, a relatively new player in the market, is experiencing rapid growth in sales of its ZS EV model.
The company has recently secured a significant order of 500 units from BluSmart Mobility, an electric vehicle ride-sharing platform.
These electric cars will join BluSmart Mobility’s fleet in Delhi NCR and Bengaluru.
The ZS EV is available in two variants, namely Excite and Exclusive, priced at Rs 23,38,000 and Rs 27,29,800, respectively.
Additionally, customers can choose from six charging options, including DC super-fast chargers, AC fast chargers, and portable chargers.
As an added convenience, MG Motor offers free installation of chargers at the customers’ home or office for ZS EV owners.
The company claims that the ZS EV can accelerate from 0-100 kmph in just 8.5 seconds,
thanks to its 50.3 kWh capacity battery pack paired with a permanent magnetic synchronous motor that delivers 174 bhp.
Gaurav Gupta, Deputy Managing Director of MG Motor in the country, expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership with BluSmart Mobility,
stating, “We are delighted to collaborate with BluSmart Mobility to promote the adoption of environmentally friendly transportation.
This order exemplifies BluSmart Mobility’s confidence in our commitment.”
In April, MG Motor introduced the Comet EV, which is hailed as the most affordable electric car in the country.
The Comet EV offers three variants to choose from and includes the innovative ‘Trace and Track’ feature that allows customers to monitor their vehicle’s journey from production to delivery.
MG Motor also provides a buyback program, assuring customers of 60 percent of the vehicle’s cost after three years.
With a range of approximately 230 kilometers and 12-inch steel wheels, the Comet EV is a two-door, four-seat sub-compact hatchback.
The launch of new models has significantly contributed to MG Motor’s success, with a notable 25 percent increase in sales reported last month.
