In a recent development, Meta, previously known for Live Shopping on Facebook and Instagram, has collaborated with Amazon for a new in-app shopping feature.
Users can now directly order Amazon products through their Facebook and Instagram accounts after linking them to Amazon.
The process involves accepting terms and conditions, so it’s important to review them carefully before linking your accounts.
Exclusive Benefit for US Users
According to Tech Crunch, this feature will initially roll out in the United States. Users will encounter ads on Facebook and Instagram displaying product details, prices, Prime eligibility, and delivery times.
Ordering and tracking products directly within these apps will be possible. Amazon assures that only select ads, sold by Amazon and independent sellers, will be visible under this in-app shopping feature.
First Leak by Tech Expert
Maurice Rahmi, Meta and Google Ads partner and co-CEO of Disruptive Digital, initially leaked information about this collaboration between Amazon and Meta.
He explained the potential benefits of the deal in a post. There’s no confirmation yet on whether this feature will extend to India, but there’s speculation that it might be introduced in the future.
WhatsApp Introduces New Location Privacy Feature
In another update, WhatsApp has introduced a feature called ‘Protect IP Address in Call’ to enhance user privacy during calls.
Users can access this feature through the Settings menu, allowing them to hide their location while on a call.
