Meta launches New Safety Tools for Teen Users (See Features)

Facebook and Instagram are making new changes to keep younger users safe. The company is adding features to help teens control what they see on the platform.

Meta, the company behind Facebook and Instagram, is introducing some new things like Nighttime Nudges, Parental Supervision, and more.

Nighttime Nudges are a way to help teens who spend too much time on Instagram, especially late at night.

This feature will gently remind them if they spend more than 10 minutes on certain parts of the app, encouraging them to take a break and go to sleep.

For parents, there’s now a Parental Supervision feature on Messenger. This lets parents see how much time their kids are spending on Facebook and Instagram.

The goal is to make sure young people have more privacy. These features were first in the United States, United Kingdom,

and Canada, and now they are available globally for Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, and other platforms.

Additionally, Instagram is working on more security tools for direct messages (DMs). These tools will help users avoid talking to people they don’t want to.

The new function will have safety measures to stop suspicious behavior and prevent adults over 19 from sending private messages to minors who don’t follow them.
