Mandatory GST Invoice Upload for Large Companies Starting November 1

Starting from November 1, big businesses must upload their Goods and Services Tax (GST) invoices on the portal within 30 days.

This requirement applies to companies with a turnover exceeding Rs 100 crore.

The National Informatics Center (NIC), responsible for the GST e-invoicing portal, announced this decision on behalf of the GST authority.

As per the directive, invoices must be uploaded within 30 days from the date of issuance.

This rule will be enforced for businesses with an annual turnover of Rs 100 crore or more, commencing on November 1, 2023.

Rajat Mohan, Senior Partner at AMRG & Associates, suggests that if this process runs smoothly, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) might extend it to all GST taxpayers in the future.
