On Independence Day, Mahindra introduced the much-awaited 5-door version of the Thar, named Mahindra Thar Roxx.
After months of anticipation, this new SUV has finally been launched in the Indian market.
The company had teased its availability on social media, revealing the color options before the official launch.
Now, the price and other details have been disclosed.
Pricing and Availability
Bookings for the Mahindra Thar Roxx will commence on October 3, with deliveries starting around Dussehra.
Customers can visit showrooms for test drives starting from September 14.
The base model of the manual petrol variant is priced at ₹12.99 lakh (ex-showroom), while the manual diesel variant starts at ₹13.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Actor John Abraham was present at the launch event, where the prices were announced.
The Mx3 variant comes with a manual option priced at ₹14.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and an automatic version at ₹15.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Mx5 variant is available at ₹16.99 lakh, and the AX5L variant is priced at ₹18.99 lakh. For the Ax7L diesel manual, the price is set at ₹18.99 lakh (ex-showroom).
Features and Design
The 5-door Thar Roxx features a larger touchscreen infotainment system compared to the 3-door version and offers a generous 644 liters of boot space.
Addressing previous complaints about space and comfort, Mahindra has made significant improvements in these areas.
The SUV boasts a fully digital instrument console, ventilated seats, a Harman Kardon audio system, automatic climate control,
a 360-degree camera view, and blind spot monitoring.
Additionally, the Thar Roxx is equipped with ADAS level 2 safety features and a high-end audio system with 9 performance speakers.
The new Thar also includes a sunroof and over 80 connected features accessible through the ADRENOX Connect app.
Color Options and Panoramic Sunroof
The Mahindra Thar Roxx is available in two colors: white and black. While black was already an option, the company has now introduced a white variant as well.
Notably, this is the first Thar model to feature a panoramic sunroof, enhancing the overall driving experience.
Enhanced Interior and Infotainment System
The 5-door Thar Roxx is equipped with a new digital display, making it easier for drivers to access various features.
The tech-savvy infotainment system includes navigation, a soft leather dashboard for a luxurious feel, and the renowned Harman Kardon music system, known for its superior sound quality.
The front seats are ventilated, a feature typically found in select premium cars, adding to the comfort of the new Thar Roxx.
