Today, the price of LPG cylinders has gone up before the Lok Sabha elections announcement. Oil companies have raised the prices of LPG cylinders to ATF rates.
Starting today, Friday, March 1, the cost of LPG cylinders will increase by Rs 25.50 in Delhi and Mumbai. In Kolkata, the hike is Rs 24, and in Chennai, it’s Rs 23.50.
This price increase applies nationwide, including cities like Ahmedabad, Meerut, Delhi, Jaipur, Indore, Lucknow, Agra, and Mumbai. However, the increase is only for 19 kg commercial cylinders.
The relief provided to 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder users since last August remains unchanged.
Updated Prices for Commercial Cylinders Today: In Delhi, the commercial cylinder will now cost Rs 1795 instead of Rs 1769.50.
In Kolkata, it’s priced at Rs 1911 instead of Rs 1887. Mumbai sees a rate of Rs 1749, and in Chennai, it’s Rs 1960.
Other City Price Updates: In Agra, the commercial LPG cylinder is now Rs 1843, up from Rs 1817.5.
In Jaipur, it’s Rs 1818, while in Lucknow, it’s Rs 1909 instead of Rs 1883. Ahmedabad now sells it for Rs 11816, and in Indore, it’s Rs 1901, previously Rs 1876.
Domestic Cylinder Rates for March 1, 2024: In Delhi, the domestic LPG cylinder costs Rs 903, and in Kolkata, it’s Rs 929. In Mumbai, it’s Rs 902.50, and in Chennai, Rs 918.50.
Notably, the domestic cylinder prices were last changed on August 30, 2023, when it was Rs 1103 in Delhi, later reduced by Rs 200.
