Kia’s Upcoming Clavis SUV Larger Than Hyundai’s Venue

Kia’s New Small SUV: Kia will soon launch a new small SUV called Clavis in India. They’re testing it abroad and maybe here too.

It looks a bit bigger than Hyundai’s Venue SUV. It’ll be made in India and shown globally by late 2024. Sales might start in early 2025. They might offer petrol, electric, and hybrid versions.

Which One Comes First?

Kia will release a petrol version first in India, followed by electric and maybe hybrid versions later.

The electric one will be based on the petrol model. Kia wants Clavis to compete with Hyundai’s popular Exeter and Venue SUVs.

They plan to make 100,000 Clavis SUVs every year in India, mostly petrol ones.

Expect Tough Competition

Kia is already strong in India and now they’re entering the compact SUV market. They’ll compete with Tata Punch, Hyundai Exeter, and others.

They hope Clavis will boost sales. It might have 1-liter or 1.2-liter petrol engines, and maybe a turbocharged 1-liter engine in the top model.
