Kia Set to Introduce Three New Models by 2025, Including Two Electric Cars

Kia, the renowned South Korean vehicle manufacturer, is gearing up for an impressive expansion in the Indian market.

With a strategic vision for the future, the company has announced plans to launch three new car models in India by the year 2025, out of which two will be electric vehicles (EVs).

This move comes as part of their commitment to capitalize on the immense potential of the Indian market, currently ranked as the third-largest in the world.

Tae Jin Park, the Managing Director and CEO of Kia India, emphasized the significance of the Indian market and the need for a long-term approach.

In pursuit of their goals, Kia has set its sights on increasing its share in the passenger vehicle market from the existing seven percent to an ambitious 10 percent.

Acknowledging the importance of EVs in the automotive industry’s future, Park revealed that the company envisions EVs contributing to 20 percent of their total sales by 2030.

Looking ahead, Kia India recognizes the necessity of a diverse and competitive lineup of vehicles to achieve its market share strategy.

Thus, the company is eagerly working on introducing three new models by 2025, with a particular focus on sustainable and environment-friendly mobility solutions.

The inclusion of two EV models in this lineup underscores Kia’s commitment to the electric revolution and aligning with the global shift towards greener transportation.

In addition to launching new vehicles, Kia India aims to enhance its reach across the country by expanding its sales centers.

The company plans to increase the number of sales centers from the current 300 to more than 600 by 2028.

This move reflects Kia’s determination to make its cars more accessible to a wider range of Indian customers.

Among the existing models, the popular Seltos has played a pivotal role in establishing Kia’s initial popularity in the Indian market, currently accounting for an impressive 55 percent of the company’s total sales.

Kia hopes that the introduction of the Seltos facelift will further bolster their sales figures and reinforce the brand’s standing in India.

As Kia India sets its sights on a dynamic and innovative future, their upcoming car lineup, including electric vehicles, and the expansion of sales centers are sure to make significant waves in the Indian automotive industry.
