Kia introduces New Carens Luxury (O) Variant in India: Check Price and Features

Kia India has recently broadened the range of their Carens MPV model with the addition of a new Luxury (O) variant.

The new variant, exclusively available in a 7-seater configuration, is positioned above the Luxury and below the Luxury+ trims and is priced at Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom).

Apart from the features already provided in the Luxury trim,

the new Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant also includes ambient lighting connected to multi-drive modes and an electric sunroof.

In addition, the new variant boasts of a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system featuring wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto,

along with a 4.2-inch colour MID, Kia Connect UI supporting Over-The-Air updates, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, air purifier,

seatback tables for the second row, telescopic steering wheel, under-seat tray, full leatherette seats, cruise control, rear-view camera,

6-speaker sound system, automatic climate control, keyless entry and go, LED headlamps and fog lamps, LED DRLs, and LED taillamps.

The MPV comes with a standard safety kit comprising of six airbags, hill start and descent control, anti-lock braking system, electronic stability control,

vehicle stability management, rear parking sensors, brake assist system, all-wheel disc brakes, and a tyre pressure monitoring system.

You have the option to choose between a 1.5L turbo petrol engine or a 1.5L diesel engine for the new Kia Carens Luxury (O) variant.

The gasoline unit, which is the most powerful in its segment, delivers 160bhp with 253Nm, while the diesel engine generates power worth 115bhp and 250Nm of torque.

Both engines adhere to the RDE norms and comply with E20 fuel blend requirements.

The available transmission options are a 6-speed iMT, a 6-speed torque converter automatic (diesel only), and a 7-speed DCT automatic (turbo-petrol only).

Additionally, the MPV is also offered with a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol engine that delivers 115bhp and is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox.

Kia claims that the Carens petrol variant offers a mileage of 16.5kmpl, while the diesel variant promises 21.5kmpl.
