Kendriya Vidyalaya Students can now Pay Their Fees via Google Pay and PhonePe

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has provided significant help to over 14 lakh students enrolled in Kendriya Vidyalayas.

Because of this, now students will be able to pay their fees using about four hundred different platforms, including Phone-Pay, Google-Pay, and Amazon-Pay connected to the Bharat Bill Payment System.

Previously, students could only pay their fees online through various banks or Non-Banking Finance Companies (NBFCs).

This decision is seen as a crucial move to provide relief to both students and parents.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has made this decision considering the challenges faced by parents and following the advice of the Reserve Bank.

The Reserve Bank had recommended institutions to streamline payment systems as part of the Ease of Doing Business and Digital India initiatives.

Before they began this system, KVS tried it out in January. Since it worked well during the trial, now students can use it.

Now, fees can be paid through approximately 400 apps connected to Bharat Bill Payment System, including Phone Pay, Google Pay, and Amazon Pay.

Before 2013-14, in Kendriya Vidyalayas, students used to deposit fees through class teachers.

However, after the Modi government came into power in 2014-15, the system was made online, and fees were deposited through various banks.

Currently, there are approximately 1250 Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country.
