Jeep, the American car company, has surprised its customers by increasing the prices of its Compass and Meridian models in the Indian market.
This means people who want to buy these SUVs will now need to pay more money. Let’s take a closer look at the details.
How much is the price increase for Jeep Meridian?
The cost of the Jeep Meridian has gone up by Rs 20,000. This increase applies to all versions of the model.
Now, the prices start at Rs 33.60 lakh for the basic Limited (O) 4x2MT variant and go up to Rs 39.66 lakh for the top-end Overland 4×4 AT variant.
The company has also stopped offering the X and Upland variants of the 3-line SUV.
Jeep Compass price increase
Similarly, the price of the Jeep Compass has also gone up by Rs 20,000.
The new prices for the Compass range from Rs 20.69 lakh for the Sport 2.0 diesel MT to Rs 32.27 lakh for the Model S (O) diesel 4×4 AT (all prices, ex-showroom).
Jeep sales in the last year
It’s worth mentioning that Jeep didn’t have a great year in 2023. Compared to the previous year, its sales dropped by 49 percent.
Despite this decline, the company has decided to increase the prices, and now it has been implemented on the Jeep Compass and Meridian SUVs.
