In this, companies like JBM, Volvo, Eicher, and Ashok Leyland unveiled their extended range of electric buses.
Delhi-based auto component manufacturing company JBM Auto has introduced a new range of buses, which includes City-Intercity and Luxury Galaxy Coaches.
At the same time, Volvo and Eicher Motors together introduced India’s most extended electric bus.
Ashok Leyland has also showcased the future of the commercial vehicle industry.
JBM launched its electric bus range on the first day of the Auto Expo.
This includes JBM EcoLife Electric City Bus, JBM eBiz Life Electric Bus, and JBM E-School Life Electric Bus.
One bus each was provided for city travel, corporate travel, and school transit. However, the company has not disclosed the prices of all these models at the moment.
All the models are equipped with many customizable options and adaptive features.
The Galaxy Coach comes with an advanced Lithium-Ion battery with high energy density, which gives a range of 1000km daily.
Presenting the buses on occasion, Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman, JBM Group, said, “It is a special occasion for all of us as we foray into the long-distance electric luxury coach segment.
With this launch, we have completed our product range in the commercial passenger segment. This will promote sustainable and efficient public transport across the country.
Volvo and Eicher Motors unveiled India’s most extended electric bus. The length of this electric bus is 13.5 meters.
Eicher also introduced its Pro 2049 Electric 4.9T GVW truck. Volvo showcases 9600 premium electric coaches to support green tourism.
Eicher also showcased its Pro 8055 LNG/CNG truck during the event.
Ashok Leyland unveiled several of its products on the first day of the Auto Expo event.
This includes the company’s Battery Electric Vehicle, Fuel Cell Electric Vehicle, Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine Vehicle, Liquefied Natural Gas Vehicle, Intercity CNG Bus, and Mini Passenger Bus.
