Chandigarh: Direct flights will start from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport Chandigarh to the new airport built in Mopa Goa.
One flight will take off on Wednesday, and the second will begin on February 1.
Now three direct flights will start from Chandigarh to Goa, as Indigo is already operating 1 flight to South Goa.
Booking has been created on both flights by the airlines. In such a situation, the number of domestic flights from Chandigarh International Airport will reach 44.
CEO of International Airport Rakesh Ranjan Sahay said that starting these two flights will boost tourism,
as there was one flight from Chandigarh airport, in which seats were always total. Given that this decision has been taken by the airlines.
Mopa will fly to Goa at 7 am
Flight number G8951 will take off from Chandigarh International Airport to Mopa Goa Airport at 7.15 am on Wednesday, reaching Mopa Goa Airport at 10 am.
The distance between Chandigarh – Mopa Goa will be covered in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
This flight from Mopa Goa will take off at 7.45 pm and land in Chandigarh at 10.30 pm.
Passengers on this flight will have to pay a fare of Rs 6070 based on the flexi food.
The second flight from Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport Chandigarh to the new airport built in North Goa is being started by Indigo Airlines from February 1.
Flight 6E849 will take off from Chandigarh International Airport at 9.10 am and land at Mopa Goa Airport at 11.55 pm.
Flight 6E6971 will take off from Mopa Goa at 12.25 pm and reach Chandigarh at 3.10 pm.
Passengers travelling in this will have to pay Rs 7970 based on flexi fare.
